Wingardium Leviosa is the Levitation Charm, one of the earliest spells taught at Hogwarts, and the one that sorted out very quickly who had the patience for wand control and who did not. It required concentration, proper technique, and the willingness to look slightly ridiculous while practising. The pin is shaped like a feather, a quiet nod to that first lesson: the one where a perfectly ordinary object lifted off a desk, and suddenly nothing was ordinary anymore.
