Vilya, the Ring of Air and the Ring of Sapphire, was considered by some to be the mightiest of the three Elven Rings. Tolkien never specified exactly what it could do. What we know is what Elrond built with it: Rivendell, a place that endured for thousands of years as a refuge for anyone who needed one. A house where the wounded were healed, the weary were rested, and the desperate were given enough clarity to continue. If that was Vilya’s work, it was quiet work, and it was enough.
This pin is my own interpretation of Vilya, designed as a flower rather than a ring. Part of a set of three: Vilya, Narya, and Nenya, one for each of the Elven Rings of Power.
