Fëanor was the greatest craftsman in the history of Arda, and the most catastrophically flawed. His eight-pointed star became the emblem of his house and the mark of everything the Noldor were capable of at their height, burning brilliance, boundless skill, and the particular kind of pride that does not know how to stop. The gold colour belongs to that Fëanor. The one at the height of it, before the losses started.
