The Rohirrim carried their identity into every battle on a field of green and gold, a horse rearing against the wind. Not a coat of arms devised by heralds, but a symbol that grew from the people themselves, from the plains they lived on and the animals they loved. The silver color is the banner at night, on the open plain, before the battle, when the wind moves through the grass, and there is still time to remember what you are riding for.
