Narya, the Ring of Fire, was one of the three Elven Rings forged by Celebrimbor in Eregion. Its power was not to protect or to conceal but to inspire, to stir resistance in those who might otherwise yield to despair. Círdan the Shipwright bore it first, and when Gandalf arrived in
Middle-earth, Círdan gave it to him, saying: for your labours will be heavy, and your need the greatest.
Gandalf carried Narya for the entirety of the Third Age, unseen. It is not known how often he drew on it. But the people he moved, the moments he appeared at precisely the right time, the hearts he steadied when everything else had gone quiet — that was Narya’s work, done without anyone noticing.
This pin is my own interpretation of Narya, designed as a flower rather than a ring. Part of a set of three: Narya, Nenya, and Vilya, one for each of the Elven Rings of Power.
