❗An Important Note on Shipping Changes: The EU’s New Packaging Regulation (PPWR)

Starting August 12, 2026, the European Union’s new Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) comes into effect. This regulation introduces new compliance obligations for businesses that ship packaged goods within the EU — including very small, independent shops like mine.

What does the PPWR mean for my small business?

Under the new rules, businesses are required to register separately in each EU member state they ship to, regardless of how many orders are sent there. In many cases, this also requires appointing a local Authorised Representative in that country if the business has no legal entity based there.

In practice, this means that shipping even a single package to a given EU country can require:

• Registering with that country’s national packaging registry
• Paying annual compliance fees (commonly averaging several hundred euros per country)
• Appointing a local representative, where the business has no entity in that country

For a small, independent shop that doesn’t operate at high volume, meeting these requirements for every EU country individually is not financially sustainable. As a result, I’ve made the decision to pause shipping to most EU countries outside Poland, at least for now, while I look into more sustainable ways to comply.

What does this mean for you?

• If you live outside the European Union: Nothing changes. Your orders are unaffected.
• If you live in Poland: Nothing changes. Your orders are unaffected.
• If you live in another EU country: Please reach out to me before placing an order. I’m actively looking into ways to continue serving customers across the EU, and I’d love the chance to find a solution that works for your order specifically.
